Taking the troubles out of gearbox and diff repairs

9 Apr 2009

#376 GEARTECH Webitorial - apr 09

Geartech Automotive Headquarters.

Geartech supply exchange gearboxes to the trade throughout New Zealand.

Geartech has eight highly skilled staff members to assist with customer needs, from rebuilding gearboxes/diffs to ordering and supplying parts.

Gearbox and diff repairs can be troubling, so it often pays to turn to a specialist like Geartech Automotive.

Originally established in central North Island some 36 years ago, Geartech have a winning reputation for fast turnaround and competitive pricing to trade customers throughout New Zealand.

Geartech Automotive repair and recondition gearboxes and differentials for all makes and models of cars, vans, utes, SUVs, farm vehicles, trucks up to around 10 tonnes gross weight – even the ‘mountain goat’ buses for a Mt Ruapehu ski field.

They’re also recognised for their expertise in modifications and improvements for successful rally competitors such as Dean Sumner’s NZ Rally Championship Mitsi Evo 9.

The Geartech workshop, with purpose-built gearbox assembly areas, employs 7 technicians and is well kitted out with specialist tools and equipment.

Proprietor, Anton Cheetham says, “as well as repairs we offer an exchange service.

We stock a wide range of second-hand and reconditioned gearboxes.

However, if customers want to do repairs themselves we can also supply repair kits, bearing kits and a good selection of new and used parts.”
