China making inroads into international auto markets

11 Sep 2007

Where are most products manufactured these days? China.

How long before we see Chinese built cars on our roads?

Believe it or not, China has quite a large car manufacturing industry and sooner or later they will be pushing their way into world markets.

If you think this seems a bit far fetched, consider for a moment what we used to think about cars made in Japan. Well, it seems that some New Zealand dealers recognise that China represents an opportunity of a lifetime, not just for Chinese built cars, but also for auto parts, and a group is reportedly heading to the China International Auto Parts Expo (CIAPE) in Beijing, being held late this November.

All 18 of China’s vehicle manufacturers will be exhibiting along with parts manufacturers and leading international companies such as Bosch, Denso, Delphi, General Motors, Ford, Volkswagen, Toyota, Daimler/Chrysler, BMW, PSA Peugeot/Citroen and Hyundai.

So if you want to explore new opportunities in an always changing automotive industry, book your tickets to Beijing now.
