CRA Conference 2007

1 May 2007

Tougher rules for workshops

The environment was one of the key issues raised at the 94th CRA Annual Conference just held in Auckland.

Speakers warned how legislation designed to limit harmful emissions could impact on the collision repair and refinishing industries and that it's up to the industry to start self-regulating now and to lobby legislators to ensure that the regulations that are bound to come are balanced and in everyone's best interests.

However, at no time did the conference embrace negativity, instead looking forwards and upwards to focus on success.

A record attendance of 410 registered delegates were informed, entertained and inspired by a diverse line up of speakers from around New Zealand and abroad.

The speaking schedule proved varied and entertaining but activity wasn't limited to the conference centre; the occasion brought together automotive repairers from around the country in a relaxed environment that set the scene for a great deal of fun.
